May 5, 2021 - Draft Collective Agreement
The Bargaining Team completed a review of the draft copy of the Collective Agreement (CA) as of April 23 and forwarded our comments to the Employer, FNHA. We continue to push the employer to move forward quickly to finalize and sign off on the contract knowing that receiving retro-pay on previous year's wage increase is a priority for the membership.

April 8, 2021 - FNHA Voting Results
We are pleased to report that a majority of members who voted have ratified the tentative agreement.
Next steps will be advising the FNHA that members have ratified the tentative agreement and then they will complete their internal ratification process. After that, we will edit your new collective agreement to incorporate the changes that have been agreed to and then formally sign off the new agreement.
It will be up to the FNHA, once they have ratified this agreement, to process and implement the pay increases which will be retroactive to the expiry of your last collective agreement. They have as of yet, not advised us as to how long this would take. The local executive will monitor this and provide an update once there is more information.
Thanks again to all those who attended our meetings and voted!
In solidarity,
Your Bargaining team

We can now provide more specific information on the tentative agreement reached between PSAC Local 22000 and FNHA. Given the ongoing pandemic, we will be holding ratification vote meetings online and voting will also be done using a secure online platform.
You will find details about the ratification kit, the vote meetings, and how to vote at this link: https://psacbc.com/first-nations-health-authority-dcl-22000-ratification-vote-information/
In order to ensure that members are fully informed prior to casting their ballot, the PSAC constitution requires all members to attend an information session before they vote. These sessions will allow members to ask questions regarding the content of the tentative agreement. Attendance will be tracked and only those who registered and attended the full presentation will have their member profile updated on the e-voting system, enabling them to vote.
Important note: Please help spread the word amongst your colleagues. If they did not receive this email it means we do not have a personal email address for them. If we do not have a personal email or mailing address for members, they will need to contact our PSAC Vancouver Regional Office at 604-430-5631 or 1-800-663-1655 as soon as possible. They should let our PSAC Secretaries know that they are an FNHA employee and PSAC Local 22000 member and want to provide personal contact information to the PSAC to receive information to vote.

Mar 10, 2021:
We are pleased to report that your Union team and the FNHA have reached an agreement in principle.
We were unable to share the details until now, as we both agreed on an embargo at the conclusion of negotiations. An embargo means we agreed not to communicate the outcome on a tentative deal to be able to retain confidentiality for a short period after negotiations.
We are now going to turn it over to you, the members, to let us know formally whether you will be supporting the team recommendation to accept the tentative changes to your collective agreement.
In general terms, there are no concessions, and it is a three-year agreement that would go back to the expiry of the last contract.
More information on ratification meetings and the vote process will follow.
In Solidarity,
Your Bargaining Team

The union is currently in bargaining as the collective agreement expired on March 31, 2020. Negotiations has re-commenced since delays in Spring 2020 due to circumstances related to the pandemic. The PSAC Local 22000 executives will provide regular update through email and on this page.
Your bargaining team was assembled from the membership, along with Erna Post, returning PSAC Staff Negotiator.
The team has most recently met with the employer on Feb 4, 2021. Our next bargaining date is on Feb 22, 2021.
We have since held two updates over Zoom for the members to learn about the bargaining discussions.
Did you miss the meetings and want to join the next one? Contact your executives or PSAC staff representation to learn about the next time a meeting is scheduled.
Your input as a member of the local is what drives the negotiation.
Please review the collective agreement - or at least the sections that you refer to often - and provide feedback or suggestions for change.
